The Shannon’s Nationals 2019 at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Round 2 of the Series, promises to be a celebration of who’s who in Australian Motorsport in the 2019 CAMS Australian Endurance Championship with all the glamour of the Australian GT Cars. The meeting also features the 2019 Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Australia Series.

Open wheeler fans are catered for with two Rounds of the 2019 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship with 6 Sprint Races for Australia’s future stars.

The big attraction is the TCR Australia Series which brings 17 cars and 8 different brands of 2 Litre Turbo Hatches and Sedans to Phillip Island for the first time.

Cars including Hyundai 130N, Renault Megane RS, Subaru WRX STI, Holden Astra, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce, Honda Civic Type R, Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Round 1 in Sydney saw the largest crowd in years at Motorsport Park, witness the 3 Race format for the first time in Australia. Bring it on at the Island.

This very relevant new category brings a mix of driving experience with rising stars in Will Brown, Dylan O’Keefe, Jimmy Vernon and Alex Rullo and Many More, pitted against established Supercar drivers Jason Bright, James Moffatt, Tony D’Alberto and Andre Heimgartner with the wildcard being 2016 Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor and others looking to make a name. Different drivers, new 3 race format, television and streaming, but nothing matches being at the track at the Island.

The headliners from the last year, this year in the 2019 CAMS Australian GT Championship are back in the Endurance Championship mode with a 500 kilometer race which screams of the DNA of Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit with exotic cars, historic location and millions of dollars in equipment in this international category, including Mercedes GTS GT3, McLarens, Ferrari 488s, Audi R8 LMS and Ultra, Porsche 911 GT3R, Lamborghini Hurracan some exciting GT4s, all racing for around 120 Laps during the 3 hours duration.

An event not to be missed, with a driving line up of stars from all categories.

The feeder Porsche Series the Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge for 2019 has some returning faces with the former Carrera Cup 991 cars settled in for their second year in the category with more new drivers with a desire to make a name in these fast machines as they aim for the glamour and excitement of Carrera Cup.

This series is their stepping-stone to international stardom that the world-wide Porsche Races and Junior Development Programs can provide, as evidenced by the International success and recent Bathurst 12 Hour win by Australia’s Matt Campbell.

Come and see great motor racing on Phillip Islands world renown Grand Prix Circuit, where the spectator is the always a winner. Qualifying and racing from 9.00am each day.
